March 2, 2008.   Bill and Mirtes also own two Mini-Cooper cars and sometimes they want to drive them thru the mountains instead of taking their Goldwing.  Janis and I joined up with Steve and Lori on our motorcycles to follow them and two other Mini's.

Imagine a go-kart on steroids.  That is what the Mini's are like.  I couldn't believe how hard it was to keep up with them thru the twisties.  Good thing I was not in the car.  I would have been very sick!

Starting at 9:00 in Jasper, GA.

About 90 minutes later we stopped for a break on the Aska Highway.

Fortunately we didn't have to cross that old wood plank bridge.

Here is Steve after lunch helping Lori get back into her riding pants that cover her jeans.

The Mini's went on up into Tennessee but the 4 of us headed to Dahlonega to try a new country cooking restaurant called the Wagon Wheel.

We then went into town to find some ice cream and then headed home.  A nice 176 mile day.
