Met up today with the Roswell Georgia Goldwing Chapter.  http://www.ga-g2-kingwings.org/

This was the first time I had ridden with them. We started at a restaurant in Duluth and then headed north.  It was a group of 9 bikes.  We all had CB's and they are worth every penny for hearing things like who didn't make it thru the last intersection light... or that there is a big boulder in the road... or where there is gravel that was put down in the twisties when there was ice a while back.

Starting out about 10:00 after breakfast.   Temperature 39.  Eight Goldwings and one BMW.

Potty break about 2 hours later.

The restaurant we were looking for was closed so we ended up here at Turners Corner Cafe which is out in the middle of nowhere.  The sign across the street said Hickory NC 4 miles. It's been around since 1928. It won't win any awards for building design but the food was real good and reasonably priced. You can't see all the bikes parked out front.  The lot was full so we all parked in the back lot.

Now our glucose levels are back to normal parameters so we head back home.  The temperature made it to 61. Our ride leader used his GPS to take some back roads.  We were on one highway that was so narrow that you had to slow down to a crawl when another car came the other way.  It was like someone's driveway.  Then we came to a bridge that had wood planks.  That was an interesting balancing act.   Another great ride today.  Nice people and about 167 miles in search of twisties and food.  I will definitely ride with this group again.
