June 17, 2006. Another Patriot Guard ride. This time to welcome home some local soldiers in Monroe, GA. It was me and Janis and Charlie and Kristi.

Starting the day at 9:00. Here is Janis and Kristi
watching Charlie punch our route for the day into his GPS.

Lunch at The Chop House in Madison. This is a neat
city. It is one of a few that were not burned down during the Civil War
and during the year they offer tours of the old houses.

We parked around back.

Arriving at the staging area in Monroe. Met neighbor
Mike and Judy there on their Wing.

The rest of the parking lot starting to fill up with bikes.

Hummers were part of the parade too. Also some Shrinners
and Boy Scouts.

Here is Charlie and Kristi next to us as we start to line up
for the start. Kristi and I had practiced the 'royal wave' so we were
ready to try it out.

The rest of the bikes get ready to fall in behind us.

Mike and Judy

Everyone along the route was waving. We were all
honking.

Turning off the main street and into the local Government
building.

Speeches by local politicians and a State Senator with the
local soldiers sitting up front. Then it was back on the road. Got
home about 5:00. Went 163 miles today.
