July 4, 2007. We took a ride with Steve and Lori, and their neighbors, to a State Park in Etowah, Georgia. We first tried to get up to the top of Kennesaw Mountain where you can see downtown Atlanta, but they had the road closed because of the holiday.
After the ride, we went back to their house for a cookout. Then home. A nice 148 mile trip.
The morning started with a hot air balloon coming down for a landing at the end of our street. It didn't make it, so it went back up and flew on.

An old smelting plant from the 1800's. This is all that
remains after Sherman's troops destroyed in during the Civil War. They were
setting up for a wedding. How romantic - a wedding at a smelting
