July 4th, 2008.  Today we went with Steve and Lori on a 190 mile trip up to the mountains to escape the heat.

Passing thru Dahlonega we almost got caught in a 4th of July parade.

Lunch at Turners Corner.  It rained while we were eating but only for a minute.  Some people caught some trout in the river behind the restrauant.

Steve can always find some nice twisty backroads.

This is blurry because we are traveling at close to the speed of light.  We are dropping out of warp speed here to head downhill.

That sign says it all.

This is where you expect Bigfoot or a deer to cross the road.

People waving to us from the lake at the bottom of the mountain.

Ugly noisy bikes are also allowed on these roads.

Passing a nice farm

Another lake

One last water break and then we all head home.
