July 26, 2008. Another Patriot Guard ride. I met up with Jonathan at his house and we headed off to the meeting place. This time it was for a local boy killed in Iraq. He is the first one from our county to die in battle since Viet Nam. There was no parade where the bikes follow the hearse to the church. Instead, we formed a flag line at the church. After the service they bused anyone that wanted to the cemetery for the service. We did not do that because it was really hot out and we had been standing in the sun for 2 hours waiting.

Meeting up across the street from the church. Around 200
bikes.

We gathered at the church for a briefing and then the Pledge Of Allegiance
and then a prayer.

Then we formed a flag line around the church which was the
path that the procession took.

The military for the honor guard.

The line extends around the side of the church.

This is the end of the route that started in downtown.
People of all ages lined the whole route with flags.
