September 1, 2006.  We had 10 bikes and 17 people join us today for a 220 mile round trip ride up to the city of Tallulah Falls which is up in NE Georgia almost to South Carolina.  The roads were wet this morning at 7:30 when we left the house but they said only 20% chance of rain - so off we went.  Unfortunately, that forecast didn't apply to where we were going and we hit it about 5 miles south of the city.  We decided to skip Tugaloo Lake and Tallulah Gorge and go straight to the restaurant.  Once we were there the rain stopped and the rest of the day was dry.

An 8:30 start from Hardee's in Lawrenceville.

Our first rest stop about 90 minutes later.  We had to make a detour around this city (whatever it was) because they were getting ready for a parade.

Some of the women folk discussing something.

We pulled over just south of Tallalah Falls to change into rain gear.  There were two Wings there that were headed to Canada.

Lunch at Louie's On The Lake.  Pizza's and subs.

The restaurant owners dog taking a nap in the middle of the road. He walks with a limp for some reason

We got a large table.

This is Kristi's order.  Charlie helped her eat it.  Her shirt says "Does this t-shirt make my butt look fast"?

Had to ride down a dirt road off Lake Rabun to get to the falls.  Here we are getting parked.

Minnehaha Falls.

One more rest break at the north end of 400.. and home at 5:00.
