September 30, 2006.  Some local guys put together a weekend riding event that attracted people from all over the US and Canada.  There was even a guy there from England who was over here touring the US, and a woman who is trying to put 100,000 on her Goldwing in a year. There were a total of 4 rides that started from different places and times around town.  We went on the semi-leisurely one that went looking for a waterfall, twisties, and food.  The other 3 were faster rides.  It was sponsored by Traxxion which is a company that does suspensions for motorcycles.  They put on a big BBQ Saturday night with a band and a presentation talking about what their product can do for a motorcycle.

It was 42 degrees when we left the house at 6:30 this morning and 72 when we got home at 4:30.  Ten hours to go 220 miles.

The sun is just coming up at 7:15.  This was the starting point for two of the four rides. Our group left with 14 bikes and 22 riders from this group.

90 minutes later getting parked at the falls.  Lori and Janis talking about Lori's new riding pants.

Top of the falls looking down.  You could walk down a path to the bottom but the sign said "480 steps - vigorous".  We all agreed to just tell everyone we went to the bottom because our main goal was finding a bathroom.

We found the bathroom at the bottom of the mountain at the welcome center.

Another stop at the top of Boner Gap up by Suches.

Same place with some bikes in the picture.

Time for lunch at Rib Country in Blairsville.

Perfect day to sit outside and eat.  We took up most of the outside dining area.

We took up every pump.
