November 4, 2006.   Steve and I had such a good time last weekend up in Ft. Payne, Alabama that we decided to take the women folk and make it a group ride.  We posted the announcement at the last minute and had a total of 6 bikes show up to meet us at Cracker Barrel in Canton at 9 a.m.  It was Steve's first time as ride leader and he did an excellent job.  We didn't take one wrong turn. Larry was there on his new 07 with the airbag option.

Started the morning at 37 degrees and only got up to 62.

Waiting for Lori to finish her hashbrown casserole.

Arriving at Desoto Falls.

Desoto Falls.

The water from the falls goes into this area.

Lori, Steve, and Janis debating if they could kayak down the falls.

Then big hot lunch at Ryans.

The restored train station in Ft. Payne.  It was closed today so we couldn't take a tour.

Then back to Little River Valley.

One of the many overlooks.

Then down the road to Little River Falls.

A couple of pit-stops and we were home at 5:30.  Another 250 mile trip.
