December 24, 2006.  Janis and I headed up to Cashiers, NC again for BBQ.   Santa brought her some new insulated riding pants so we had to try them out.  It was 38 when we left and never got above 59 because we spent most of the day in the mountains. We took a shortcut so it was only a 268 mile roundtrip.  Some local Goldwing guys were meeting there at noon to eat, but we didn't get there until 12:45 so we waved as they went the other way.  Then we stopped in Highlands for ice cream at Sweet Treats.

We found some new roads and will be going back to get some pictures.  There is a lot of nice scenery up there but we didn't stop.
