October 29th, 2005. Our first ride together since getting the bike.  

We went to Suches, GA which is about an hours ride.  What a great ride it is too.  Lots and lots of twisty roads going up the mountain.  We ended at the top (which is about 3000 feet) at a place called T.W.O. (Two Wheels Only) Resort where we had a nice lunch.  They had a fire going in the fireplace because it was a bit chilly up there. You can camp there or rent a room in the old house.

Then it was back home on a different route thru some small towns.  About a 100 mile trip that took 4 hours with lunch.  What a fun day.

This is at a lookout point in a National Forest at almost the top. Kinda hazy out but you can get an idea of the view from 3000 feet.  This is about an hour from our house.   

Here is Janis getting something from our bike.  Next to her are our neighbors Mike and Judy who also have a Goldwing and rode up there with us.  Judy is the fashion setter with black leather jacket and boots.  I think she is either dancing a jig here or just posing.
