February 5, 2006.  A nice 80 mile round trip up to Dahlonega with Steven for strombolli.  Temperatures were from 36-40 so a bit nippy.

We started at Steven's house so I had to take a picture of his driveway.  I am over my fears of it now since I have gone up it twice.  The key is NOT to stop half way up.  The Wing has plenty of power to make it up.

Lots of little shops on all the streets so we will definitely be back with the wives.

The towns claim to fame was it's gold rush. Here is the gold museum.

After we left town we headed out into the country.  After about 10 miles we came around a bend in the road and there were big cement things blocking the lane so you had to go around them.  It turned out they were to slow you down because of the entrance to an Army Ranger camp.  The road we wanted went to the left but it turned into a gravel road so we turned around and stopped at the guard house of the Army base to ask about different choices for getting back to civilization.  There weren't any so we headed back on the same road that brought us there.

"Somebody" didn't go to the bathroom when they were told back at the restaurant.
