April 9, 2006.  Blue Ridge, GA and the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant.

Janis and I rode with Wayne and Vicki Mobley today.  We told them how we had almost made it to Blue Ridge last weekend and they knew about this place on the river just outside there so off we went.  We met them at 10:00 this morning in the McDonalds parking lot and 90 minutes later we were there.  Once again a totally out in the middle of nowhere place.  Those are the best kind. Great food and great prices.

Talk about back roads!  Good thing Wayne had a GPS because there is no way we could have found this.  About half way we slowed for deer.  One had already crossed the road so we drove slow watching them walk around.

Then after lunch, we continued a few miles up the road into Blue Ridge and then headed south on some more roads we had never been on.  Great leading Wayne!  Not one wrong turn...or if there was we would be the last ones to know.

It was 40 degrees when we left this morning and made it to the upper 60's for the ride home.  What a great 160 mile day.

We made it!  We could hear Vicki's stomach growling on the CB as we got close.

The creek in the back of the restaurant

A really nice house on the other bank.

Looking the other way.

One of the roads that brought us thru the mountains.  At dusk they told us the area is thick with deer.
